About Our Program

Thrive After School Program

Thrive After School is the heart of what we do. Students join us for 3 hours of programming every day when school is in session, Monday - Friday. Required daily attendance allows us to establish trust and consistency with our students. This ultimately results in a total of approximately 700 hours spent at Thrive per year by the average student.

Our students participate in Bible studies and small groups, homework-help time, one-on-one tutoring lessons, reading lessons, team + character-building activities, educational electives, outside play time, and share a healthy, home-cooked meal.

In the Lonsdale neighborhood, we offer programs for students K - 12th grade. We accept elementary students K - 5th at all other locations. We have a program capacity for approximately 250 kids (187 total for elementary campuses, 36 for Middle School, and 20 for High School).

Thrive Summer Program

Thrive Summer is a full-day, 6-week program that blends educational activities with encouragement, excitement, and fun. There is an emphasis on practicing English language skills through daily reading and writing lessons. Our summer program is built around fun weekly themes which incorporate educational activities, Gospel-centric Bible studies, and field trips. Thrive Summer is offered to students who have completed 1st - 8th grade.

The goals of Summer Thrive are for the students to:

  • Grow in their love of reading

  • Learn Biblical Truths of the Gospel

  • Experience fun and feel encouraged

Thrive Mentoring

Mentoring is an opportunity to intentionally invest in a Thrive student in a life changing way. The mentoring role is available to volunteers and staff members who over time have built a relationship with a student at Thrive through sports, tutoring, sharing meals, etc. Mentoring a student requires specific training and has a life long impact on both the mentor and the student. This relationship is so much more than planning fun activities to help a child feel valued. Christian mentoring, or discipleship, is an opportunity to point young men and women to the hope found in Jesus alone.
